Citadels is the award winning game by Bruno Faidutti in which players are attempting to complete their city first. Each turn players choose a secret role from eight choices: bishop thief king etc. Each role has a special ability and allows the player to attempt a different strategy. Players must always beware of the deadly assassin however and players must constantly seek to double guess their opponents. Each city is made up of different districts some of which also provide special abilities to the players. When combined the game is an interesting bluffing and tactical game. This card game provides a ton of enjoyment and can handle up to seven players!

Recensione : Rune Age Questo gioco prende spunto da Dominion (sempre in vendita qui su amazon) sul concetto di iniziare la partita con una mano casuale di carte e di man mano comprare dalle carte piu' potenti al centro dell'area di gioco (scartando le carte con il simbolo oro per pagarle) e mischiarle nel proprio deck assieme alle carte scartate una volta che un giocatore ha finito la carte pescabili.
Ci sono quattro fazioni (umani, non morti, elfi, demoni) e 4 scenari che variano dal cooperativo (riuscire a distruggere il boss combinando le forze dei giocatori)ad uno tutti contro tutti (vince chi con le proprie carte creatura ad infliggere 20 punti ferita all'avversario) ad uno di fast run per completare per primi un obelisco.
Il gioco sono in pratica 2 mazzi con le 4 fazioni (ciascuno con propri loghi), le loro carte capitali (con i 20 punti vita), le carte neutrali (sono tipo citta con bonus speciali oppure magie e mostri di potenza variabile , acquisibili attraverso gold o punti influenza ottenibili da certe carte fazioni )oltre a delle speciali carte evento, diverse per scenario giocato che introducono bonus o nemici vari alla fine di un turno completo in cui tutti i giocatori hanno giocato, piu' un dado nero usato dai mostri nemici tipo quelli del mazzo evento per eliminare random 0-2 carte creature del giocatore che li affronta in anticipo.
Ah dimenticavo la forza delle carte creatura varia da 1 a 6 e di solito i boss richiedono per essere battuti una forza combinata di 4 o piu' delle carte piu' forti e dato che in mano ne puoi avere solo 7 di solito e' proprio una lotta quando si e' gia' ridotti ad un pugno striminizito di punti vita
E' divertente, scalabile da 1 a 8 giocatori, ottime illustrazioni delle carte.
Unico difetto e' un po' limitato per la rigidita' di scenari (e risorse concesse) e le sole 4 fazioni, cmq per l'estate 2012 dovrebbe uscire un'espansione che sopperisca al problema.
